Graphics are the first thing people see from the screenshots and immediately pass on the game because of them. I think the older gaming generation like myself are less influenced by graphics and are more willing to give it a try. We grew up in the days of worse graphics than the above :)

As a amateur developer myself I know how difficult it can be to get good graphics people on a tight budget, I have even had to do it on no budget. But should flashy graphics matter when it is all about the gameplay?

Games like the Arkedo series with modernised graphics but oldskool gameplay seem to be popular with everyone so this is a good example of people judging a book by its cover rather than the game itself at first.

Can't believe people are not trying it because of the graphics - I love them! Reminds me of my faithful Spectrum, hehe!

Great review Emuholic - hit the nail on the head there. Would be awesome with 2 player competing to get the fares...

Took me a couple of goes to get used to the controls, but it's a pretty fun game once you do.

I did not even bother trying the demo. The graphics looked so bad I just ignored it. Maybe I'll give it a try it I get bored.

The 240 point price tag is what's keeping me from buying it just because regardless of how many levels it has ... the graphics are terrible and it's just a Lunar Lander clone with a little extra thrown in, so I'm gonna save my points for something a little more interesting.

Especially considering Lander Mania ... while it doesn't have the taxi element to it and only has 16 levels (which it makes up for in variety as far as the look) is only 80 points and has 4 player support. Much better deal in my opinion because the taxi thing just isn't worth the extra 160 points.
