OrR is right about the art, though. That's probably the only nice thing about this game.

So I guess this means that we’re all still waiting on the “next” Super Dodgeball. I did not find the game entertaining and the opponent AI just seemed to do the same thing again and again with little error margin.
I should point out that this is CyberAxes first review so he may have concentrated more on the bad points than the good. But I find with some games it just happens naturally if it is not a good game to start with.

I only played the trial (CyberAxe reviewed it) but from what I played I agree with the review. It uses the perfect Blobby Volley physics and classic mode on turbo plays exactly like it. The different characters, while unbalanced, add a lot of fun to the single player mode. The different levels, with little gameplay differences in each (snow, monkey manipulating the ball etc.) also add to replayability. If you like Blobby Volley, this game should be worth the money. It's one of the best 360 indie games I bought. I feel that the detailed criticism of the presentation, while not entirely wrong, is somewhat misplaced as this game is overall one of the better presented indie games, featuring a mostly consistent individual art style. The bar has to be set rather low in this regard to do the 360 indie games justice. Getting the fun right should be much more important. IMO, Powa Volley pretty much does that.

I disagree with the review. Powa Volley certainly is not perfect but it is a very fun game.
