A Frog Game is a mini game where you control a frog that must jump from lily pad to lily pad and catch the flies. Score is given when you catch a fly but if you miss you will lose score. Graphics are very nice but there is not much to the game, jump and catch flies and that…

Megalopolis Review

Megalopolis is a Sim City style game where you manage a virtual island in a series of scenarios. The aim of the game is to build housing for your residents, providing them with water and power sources which increases the population thus earning you money. Power sources are a strong feature of this game, it follows an environmental theme in which you must decide between clean and dirty sources. Clean sources such as wind power do not pollute the atmosphere but they provide power to fewer zones, while dirty power such as coal covers a larger number of zones but…

If you would like for us to review your game, post an update on the progress of your game etc. please get in contact. 1337 Ship Deathmatch is an up to four player space battle deathmatch game. If you can stay alive long enough you may find this passable to play, all that happened to me was I got killed shortly after spawning as the enemy has perfect aiming and timing. The game may be more fun with some friends but at 400…

News Bytes 20th August

It is like Christmas come early, four demos in two days! Yesterday saw the release of the Lost Planet 2 Co-Op demo. You can play either single player with AI or with up to 4 players. I haven't had a chance to play over Live yet but the single player was very impressive and the action takes place with you fighting a massive monster. Trying to set up a Co-Op game with some mates later today so it should be a laugh. You can download the trial here. Up next is a demo of Mini Ninjas a 3D action adventure…

Trials HD Review

Trials HD is the latest in the line of physics based bike games of which many people have lost productivity at work on the Flash game counterparts. Trials HD follows the same basic principle, get your bike to the end of the stage in the fastest time with as few faults (crashes) as possible. It is a simple idea which anyone can pick up and play, but is hard to master. (more…)

Shadow Complex released Wednesday

Tomorrow sees the release of the final game in the Summer of Arcade 2009 promotion Shadow Complex. It is a 3-D side-scrolling action game with some quite amazing graphics to rival boxed games based on the novel by Orson Scott Card. You must explore and fight your way through the game with 17 power-ups and more than 100 additional items and modifiers. It looks like it could be the best game of the year for XBLA (either that or Trials HD), there is a lot of hype for it and it seems warranted by the early reviews. Shadow Complex will…

Pay more for less?

The recently released Games On Demand feature for the Xbox 360 gives gamers the opportunity to purchase and download games from their Dashboard or PC to their 360 Hard Drive. One of the major talking points has unfortunately been the pricing of these games, all currently released titles costing £ in UK (US $) each. Purchasing via Game on Demand allows you to download the game to your 360 Hard Drive. You do not receive a disc, a manual (you can download this online) or box. The game is locked to your gamertag or 360 which you are unable to…
