Time for a round up of news over the past couple of days. Don't forget you can read the latest news on the top right of the page in the News Bytes links before I add them to news posts. The demo for Section 8 was released a few days ago, it is a multiplayer first person shooter much in the style of Quake Wars in which you have to attack and defend control points. If you can stay alive long enough you may find this passable to play, all that happened to me was I got killed shortly after spawning as the enemy has perfect aiming and timing. The game may be more fun with some friends but at 400…

News Bytes 20th August

It is like Christmas come early, four demos in two days! Yesterday saw the release of the Lost Planet 2 Co-Op demo. You can play either single player with AI or with up to 4 players. I haven't had a chance to play over Live yet but the single player was very impressive and the action takes place with you fighting a massive monster. Trying to set up a Co-Op game with some mates later today so it should be a laugh. You can download the trial here. Up next is a demo of Mini Ninjas a 3D action adventure…

Trials HD follows the same basic principle, get your bike to the end of the stage in the fastest time with as few faults (crashes) as possible. It is a simple idea which anyone can pick up and play, but is hard to master. (more…)
