Indie Game releases 9th August

All releases are played for the eight minutes allowed in trials and impressions are made from that. If any developers would like me to review their game in full please get in contact with me.

CardArcade costs 240 :MSPoints: and is a collection of five differing card games. Graphics are OK, the cards look like cards, what else can I say? If you enjoy playing card games you should try this out, if you do like them it should keep you occupied for many hours. You can download the trial here.

Division Omega is a tank battle game. The graphics are very bland and the game gets repetitive way before the eight minute trial is up. A quote from the game description The final advance has begun; do you have what it takes to lead the front lines? My answer is I do not have 240 :MSPoints: to waste on this game and I have gone AWOL, does that answer your question? You can download the trial here.

GLITNIR is a 3D space themed Tower Defence style game. I found the controls a little confusing  at first especially when placing the Towers on the map, the 3D rotation and controls were weird. I reckon you would get used to them though so maybe not a major issue. Other than that it looked a nice game and at 80 :MSPoints: could be a very good buy. You can download the trial here.

Headshot is a sniper game costing 80 :MSPoints:. Wait patiently until the target holds a member of the public hostage and then off with his head with a sniper bullet. Graphics are basic and the sound effects of the crowd was more interesting. I played this to level 11 and nothing changed, a few locations instead of plain grass would have been good, enemy at a window of a building for example or even better – add Zombies, everyone loves killing Zombies. You can download the trial here.

Ultimate Sacrifice costs 80 :MSPoints: and is a Japanese horizontal shootemup. I found the game slow paced and didn’t actually play the full eight minutes. The game just did not feel right with the cumbersome ship and slow moving gameplay. You can download the trial here.

Veks and Silence is a 2D/3D style scrolling beatemup. You play as Silence and his mission is to defeat zombies and other undead creatures over 13 levels of gore and guts. Graphics and presentation are very nice and the accompanying music and sound is easy on the ears. Veks and Silence costs 400 :MSPoints: and this might actually be worth it. You can download the trial here.
