Two new games for this weeks Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday and both at 800 
which is good to see.
Defense Grid is a Tower Defense style game. Strategically place your towers on the map to prevent alien enemies from stealing your power cores. Play just for fifteen minutes or several hours! This award winning game includes 10 hours of story play with 20 unique maps in the Awakening campaign, 4 bonus Borderlands maps, a wide variety of tower and enemy types, an interactive soundtrack, plus over 100 unlockable challenge modes adding dozens of hours of additional fun. Protect the Cores! I had a quick go a short while ago and it looks pretty good, well worth checking out if you like Tower Defense games like me. Yo-Ho Kablammo is a kind of ship based battle game where you must defeat you opponents with cannon shot and other weapons. Prove your worth with 15 single player challenges. Rule the seas across 5 multiplayer maps locally or on Xbox LIVE. With access to all of the ships and game modes – there is enough here to keep even the most ambitious pirate busy… just beware the Kraken! I did not think much of the demo to be honest but it might be a laugh on XBL with some mates. The full game costs 800 and the trial can be downloaded here.

Bought Defense Grid right from inside the demo, after playing only three levels. Brilliant game, totally in love with it. And the best part, only 800 points in these days of 1200 point games.
If I had the time I would have bought Defense Grid, the demo alone took up an hour earlier while I was checking it out! I might buy this in a couple of weeks once I have caught up with the backlog of Indie Game reviews.
