News Bytes 3rd November

Time for a round up of news snippets in the indie games scene. At the moment I am grabbing news from Twitter on the #XBLIG hashtag, so if I miss something contact me and I will add it in the next News Bytes.

@wheelsofwar has created a preview page for their forthcoming indie game Wheels of War. Drivers from around the world meet up at Carnage Academy to gain the skills to compete in Wheels of War. There are a few screenshots to check out and more details on the game can be found at http://www.level13games.co.uk/wheels-of-war.

@jadevault posted a video teaser of the dungeon crawler ASCII Quest. Roguelike game fans will likely be jumping for joy over this game and while I have not really played much of this genre, what I have played was quite fun. One to keep an eye on, check out the video here.

@xblaratings are thinking about creating a new highscore leaderboard system for indie games that do not support this feature in the game. This will be done by submitting a photo or video which will be verified and added. What do you think of the idea? Let Jigsaw hc know on his forum post here.

And finally, the review for Echoes+ should be online later tonight, the Powa Volley review by CyberAxe up in a day or two. Later in the week I should have a preview article ready for the Chris Unarmed indie game.
