News Bytes 17th November

I am now back up to full speed after my little break from the site last week to play Modern Warfare 2 🙂 Reviews for Frequency wrote by CyberAxe will be online shortly and he is currently reviewing Snaker Ace. I will be reviewing XMAS Taxi which should be online in a day or two, and sometime later in the week my review of the Sky Player which I keep putting off writing. Now onto some news from the indie games scene.

The developers of Johnny Platform’s Biscuit Romp let us know that a sequel to their platform game will be out before Christmas. Johnny Platform Saves Christmas! sees the return of Johnny who faces 100 levels, widescreen HD, new robots, explosions, and lots of sideways rolling. Just like the original, it is looking great! XBLIG wrote a preview for the soon to be released Space Pirates, it looks very good and if you are an Elite fan like me I bet you can’t wait to play it, I might have to book some time off for this game! Read the preview article here.

Flying Squirrel Games are running a competition for the public to name their next game which is Christmas themed. Check out the screenshot and further details here. The winning name will receive a code for Banana Split.

A trailer for the forthcoming 2D platform game Tobe’s Vertical Adventure has been released. The game is expected to be released in December and you play as Tobe on his quest for the treasure of King Garuza. You can play in single or co-op modes over 16 levels, on 4 unique islands.
