Twelve games in this round up of indie games releases and updates from the past few days.

ARC Viking Edition is the third title in the Antigrav Racing Championship series, the first being a full game and Ninja and Viking editions being lite versions with a smaller number of tracks. Viking has five new tracks in this version, everything else is pretty much the same. ARC Viking Edition costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Asphalt Jungle is a puzzle game where you must guide a car around a road system by creating a clear path for it. You do this by rotating the tiles, once driven over they are removed so you must plan ahead to ensure you are not trapped. Despite the basic graphics it is a pretty decent puzzle game, worth checking out. Asphalt Jungle costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Blood On The Dance Floor is an arena survival game where your character must defend himself against the waves of Zombies. The variety of Zombies is OK and there is a decent selection of weapons and power ups to collect. Also the play area is quite big so you are not restricted to a single screen. Graphics are not amazing but the gameplay is pretty good and has support for up to four players co-op locally, worth checking out. Blood On The Dance Floor costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Decimation X is a Space Invaders inspired shooter, the game follows the same idea of the classic but you also have power ups and loads of explosions. It is a good update to Space Invaders and worth a try. Decimation X costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here, a trailer can be found below.

Hoyle Texas Hold em is a Texas Hold ’em poker game for up to ten players over Live. This game looks like an XBLA game with great presentation and graphics and I was very impressed. I played a few hands and the AI seems to be decent, no going all in to call their bluff unlike other games 🙂 If you like Texas Hold ’em poker you must try this! Hoyle Texas Hold em costs 400 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Magic Mikes house synthesis is the Japanese to English translation of this title so I am not sure how accurate it is. I can’t tell you too much about this game as the game is in Japanese but it appears to be some kind of puzzle strategy game. I will reserve judgement on this game as I was unable to play it. Magic Mikes house synthesis costs 240 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Pluckys 3D Adventure is a 3D platformer where you must get the character to the end of the level in as fast time as possible. Graphics are nice and have a N64 feel to them, controls are decent and the level designs seem to be OK from what I played. Looks to be an interesting game and worth checking out. Pluckys 3D Adventure costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Princess Baker Palace is a puzzle/management game in which you play as a baker who must build machinery in order to fulfill the requests. This is a bit of a complex game to get to grips with in the trial limit so I rushing around to see what I could do within the time which did not work out too well. It is hard to say if the game is good or not as you will need to spend more than eight minutes with it. Princess Baker Palace costs 240 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here, a trailer can be found below.

Rubble Muddle is a puzzle game where you must destroy rocks or collect jewels with either explosives or bags. It is an interesting game idea and seems to work well. Rubble Muddle costs 80 :MSPoints: and is worth checking out if you enjoy puzzle games, more information can be found here.

SOS is a puzzle/strategy game a bit similar to Connect 4 but instead of making a line of four you must spell out the word SOS. The game supports up to four players locally or over Live and the game seems to be fine if a little limited. My main annoyance is the ‘Next Player’ speech which you have to hear every time the next player turn starts, really fu^&*(g annoying! SOS  costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here, a trailer can be found below.

Space Pirates from Tomorrow is the long awaited Elite style space game. A trial of eight minutes in a game of this size is never going to work and I think this may put some people off. Do not be put off by the trial, I spoke to a few people over the weekend and they all agree the game is amazing. Try the trial a few times and if you slightly ‘get’ the game then buy it as you will not be disapointed. Now onto the trial impression, if you have played Elite before you will have likely already purchased this game 🙂 If not it is a space exploration, trading and combat game that is absolutely bloody massive, just buy the game! Space Pirates from Tomorrow seems to be off the Marketplace at the moment (probably for an update) so I will add a link as soon as it is back.

Xmas Defender is a Christmas Themed Tower Defence style game. The graphics are not amazing but do the job, gameplay seems to be OK and the level design I saw was quite interesting, some good scope for level planning. It is a pity this was not released around Christmas but it is still worth checking out if you do not mind hearing Jingle Bells. Xmas Defender costs 240 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here, a trailer can be found below.

Games that have received either a software update or price change are Flash Cards for Kids, SFG Soccer, Home Run Challenge, Starbase Epsilon, XMAS Taxi, Twin Blades and Office DisOrders.
