A World of Keflings to Allow Avatar Props and Pets

Boxart

If you’ve played A Kingdom of Keflings, you know you enjoyed being able to play as your personal avatar during the game. NinjaBee wanted to take things further with their upcoming sequel…

“People put a lot of work into their avatars,” said NinjaBee president Steve Taylor. “A Kingdom for Keflings is already a great place for that work to pay off, but A World of Keflings has even more extensive avatar support. One of the coolest examples being the ability to see players’ props in the game.”

With A World of Keflings, NinjaBee is introducing the ability to take your personal avatar props as well as your personal pets into the game. That’s right, now you can build a whole new world, and have your chocobo, Petey, by your side the whole time.

“Bringing avatar props into the game just made sense,” said Brent Fox, Art Director at NinjaBee. “Much like A Kingdom for Keflings, A World of Keflings is a game that emphasizes the player’s choice to customize. You design the Kefling world the way you want and you design your avatar however you choose.”

The player will have the choice to enable or disable any props/pets whenever they’d like, re-enforcing the fact that you have full control in your game.

“A World of Keflings has so much more than the first Keflings game, it’s a whole new game,” Fox said. “Unlike the first Keflings game, A World of Keflings is very story-driven. You’ll meet a Kefling pirate, a witch, a princess and an inventor just to name a few. You’ll travel between exotic Kelfing lands, assemble a robot and build an airship. And that’s barely scratching the surface.”

A release date for A World of Keflings has not yet been announced, but it will be arriving later this year. In the meantime, check out the avatar store for A World of Keflings on the Xbox LIVE® Avatar Marketplace which was released on May 13, 2010.
