The Xbox Indie Games Summer Uprising event is officially announced with a brand new website and details of the event.
The Summer Uprising kicks off on August 22nd through to September 2nd with a release every working day during that period. The first eight Xbox Indie games will be chosen by developers and the final two will be chosen the community. Over 70 games have been submitted for approval and you will be able to vote for them starting August 1st to the 15th via the Facebook page.
Here is the schedule of the events:
July 4th – July 18th Developer voting for 8 titles to represent the platform
August 1st – August 15th: Community voting for 2 additional titles they would most like to play
Tues Aug 16th – 9PM EST: IGSU Developer Twitter chat, community winners announced
August 22nd – September 2nd: Promotion and release of 8 developer and 2 community voted titles
Last years Winter Uprising had a few hiccups but the quality of games more than made up for it, we expect the Summer Uprising to be something to keep a very close eye on! You can read more about the Summer Uprising at indiegames-uprising.com
