This weeks Xbox Indie Game Round Up includes Avatar Panic, Glowbz, ARP Halloween Edition and Avatar Punch.
The gameplay video compilation is taking a few weeks break. The main reason is the low amount of video views compared to the views of this article, so my guess is the videos are not interesting enough for people to watch. During the next few weeks I will be taking on suggestions on how to improve the video. Current ideas include to concentrate on the better games with a voice over talking about them, either a weekly or longer monthly video. If you have any ideas let us know in the comments, any suggestions would help a lot.
Up next are this weeks releases sorted in a rough order on how good they are over three categories. Trial impressions have been wrote for the Geddon it! category games and they are a must try and/or buy. Armehgeddon is a category that has some games that are worth considering at least playing the trial to see if you like them, they are by no means bad. The final category, Armageddon outta here!, contains games that are probably not worth the time unless something sounds interesting to you. Geddon It!
Avatar Panic – 80 :MSPoints: – Marketplace – Trailer

Avatar Panic is based on the classic arcade/console game Pang. The aim of the game is to pop the bouncing bubbles with your harpoon gun that fires vertically up the screen. Once the bubbles are hit, they split in to smaller bubbles until they disappear and you complete the level. The game comes with 50 levels in the arcade mode and a Panic mode which requires faster reflexes. As with all Milkstone Studios games, it features their global highscore leaderboards which are always a welcome addition. Unfortunately there is no online co-op but you can play locally with up to four players. A decent game and at only 80 :MSPoints: you should check this out.
Glowbz – 80 :MSPoints: – Marketplace – Trailer

Glowbz is a single screen shooter set in the distant future, the year 6,000,004 to be exact. Earths resources have been depleted but a new source of energy has been found in another part of the galaxy. Unfortunately the area is inhabited by hostile aliens so you must fight your way to get the new energy. You do this by shooting the enemies and floating debris and then return the goods to the centre of the screen. After a while an enemy mothership will appear which is quite tough to destroy and your weapons have a rechargeable fire so being trigger happy is not an option. All in all it is a nice shooter which is different enough from the vast number already available, well worth a go at least.
Armehgeddon
This category has games that are well worth trying if the developers descriptions interest you. The games are by no means bad, but may lack the quality, design, price or something else that keeps it out the top category.

Avoid the obstacles that lie on the train cars. Jump the barrels of the right color, break the boxes and you will make more points! More barrels you will jump in sequence and multiply your score much more! Challenge your friends trying to make the highest record!

Final Failure is an action platformer where the players have to choose between the sniper, the gunner, the defender or the medic to defeat a group of evil robots. Each class has a unique weapon and a special ability. The game supports up to 4 players in local coop.

This category is for games that you may want to avoid on the reasons such as low quality, bugs, bad design, high price or playability. Some games are still playable but the overall opinion is they are probably not worth buying. Developers game descriptions are used.

SmartBomb is a classic arcade style shooter. Gameplay can be described as a cross between Galaga and Missile Command with total freedom of movement and much smarter enemies. Using both thumbsticks to control separate characters combined with no movement restrictions, gives the game a unique flare and a noticeable smoothness to gameplay.
The following game I was unable to download. I will give it another try next week but in the meantime give it a go if it interests you.
