Greenlight Highlights – Episode 9

Another six games we think should get your vote on Steam’s Greenlight including Son of Nor, The Novelist and Stonehearth.

Shoot your way though hordes of enemy ships, tanks, mine fields, wind mills, lazer beams, massive boss fights, planes and trains, all in a multi-dimensional shoot em up like never seen before!

The Novelist
The Novelist asks one central question: can you achieve your dreams without pushing away the people you love? The game focuses on Dan Kaplan, a novelist struggling to write the most important book of his career while trying to be the best husband and father he can be. The Kaplans have come to a remote coastal home for the summer, unaware that they’re sharing the house with a mysterious ghostly presence: you.

Son of Nor
Son of Nor is a 3rd person action adventure game for Windows, Mac and Linux that can be played in single player or with up to 4 players cooperatively online or via split-screen.  Players will command their natural abilities of telekinesis and terraforming through all stages of Son of Nor. On their mission to stop the impending attack of the Sarahul army, they will discover the many varied environments of Noshrac’s manifold desert world.

Two Brothers
Two Brothers is an Action Adventure game that features a classic Gameboy aesthetic.  Roy Guarder, inventor, scientist, and philosopher, is on an expedition to discover the origins of life. This quest has brought him to “The Cursed Lands,” a stretch of land so dangerous and shrouded in mystery that it hasn’t been explored in over 700 years. When Roy finds what he’s looking for, he is met with a terrible fate. Roy no longer finds himself a living man. He is greeted with a world of colors he never believed could have existed! One obsession leads to another and Roy begins to walk the line of life and death – sometimes intentionally ending his own life – just so he can see this land of beauty and color again.

Stonehearth is a game about exploration and survival in an epic fantasy setting. Your job is to help a small group of settlers survive and carve out a place for themselves in a hostile land. You’ll need to establish a food supply, build shelter, defend your people, and find a way to grow and expand, facing challenges at every step.

Daedalus is a pure action 2D top down shooter. It is inspired by games such as Quake 3 and Unreal tournament in terms of game modes and gameplay, and also by the old Alien Breed games for the top down 2D view.
