At GDC 2011, Nintendo announce that Super Mario and Netflix will come to the 3DS.

Satoru Iwata briefly spoke about Super Mario on the 3DS, The game is being developed by the same Nintendo team that created the Wii™ console hits Super Mario Galaxy™ and Super Mario Galaxy 2. Iwata also notes that on the prototype logo (see above) it resembles a tail at the end, maybe a clue there. More information will be revealed at E3 later this year.
Netflix will be available for the 3DS around summer. It will cost $7.99 a month and instantly stream movies to the console much like how it works for the Wii. You will be able to start watching a film on the Wii then continue watching it later on the 3DS.
